Contact Lens Exams in Waterdown

A contact lens exam goes beyond a standard eye exam. Because lenses sit directly on your eyes, we carefully assess your:

  • Corneal shape and curvature
  • Tear film quality
  • Prescription accuracy
  • Eyelid health and blink pattern
  • Overall eye surface compatibility

These measurements help us find the right fit and type of lens for both comfort and safety. We also guide you through lens care, insertion, removal, and hygiene to help you succeed from day one.

Soft Contact Lenses for Everyday Use

We fit a wide range of soft contact lenses, including:

  • Daily disposables for convenience and hygiene
  • Monthly or bi-weekly lenses for cost-effective wear
  • Toric lenses for astigmatism
  • Multifocal lenses for patients with presbyopia
  • Blue light filtering lenses for screen-heavy lifestyles

If you’re new to contact lenses, we take the time to walk you through the process and ensure you’re completely comfortable before you leave the clinic.

Specialty Contact Lenses

Not every patient can wear traditional lenses. That’s why we offer custom-fit specialty lenses for patients with high prescriptions, corneal conditions, or dry eyes.

Scleral Lenses
Larger rigid lenses that vault over the cornea and rest on the sclera, creating a fluid reservoir for moisture and comfort. Ideal for keratoconus, dry eye disease, post-surgical corneas, and irregular astigmatism.

Rigid Gas-Permeable (RGP) Lenses
Durable, oxygen-permeable lenses that provide crisp vision for moderate to high refractive errors and certain corneal conditions. An excellent choice for those needing precision optics.

Ortho-K (Orthokeratology)
Worn overnight, these lenses gently reshape the cornea while you sleep. Wake up with clear vision, eliminating the need for glasses or daytime contacts. Especially useful for myopia management in children and teens.

Prosthetic Contact Lenses
Used to improve cosmetic appearance or reduce light sensitivity in patients with scarred, misshapen, or visually non-functional eyes.
